Passports, NEXUS cards or Enhanced Driver's Licences are required to enter Point Roberts, WA by land. The Point Roberts Marina has slips for visitors, and US Customs will come to the dock to clear International visitors.
Both the US and Canada have regulations and restrictions on what agricultural products and items are allowed to cross the border in either direction. Plants, citrus fruits, stone fruits and meats are the usual suspects. The good news? Our grocery store in Point Roberts is very large for a communty this size and carries a wide selection of produce and has a great meat department!
Point Roberts does not have online border cams at this time, but below are links to
Southbound (Canada>US) and Northbound (US>Canada) wait times and cameras.
Long border wait? Take a little time to explore the Point - watch for a whale at Lighthouse Park, stop in for a snack at the Shell Station, have lunch at Brewster's and shop the Brewster's Fine Foods Country Store. Take a hike at Lily Point - easy trail on the top-side gives a great view of Boundary Bay, the San Juan Islands and Mount Baker.
